Mount Saint Vincent downs Webb Institute for fourth straight win
Vogel records 15 kills in win

Ryan Vogel paced the Dolphins with 15 kills on Wednesday night.
RIVERDALE, NY – The College of Mount Saint Vincent Men’s Volleyball team won its fourth straight match on Wednesday night with a 3-0 sweep of Webb Institute. Scores of the match went 30-7, 30-10, and 30-5 in favor of the Dolphins. Mount Saint Vincent was paced by rookie Ryan Vogel (Holbrook, NY) who posted 15 kills in the win.

Vogel was one of two Dolphins to reach double figures in kills and also added five digs in the win. Vogel would also add one service ace for the Mount. Junior Fitzroy Lawson (Kingston, Jamaica) also had a solid showing, as he recorded 10 winners to go along with an assist and a defensive dig.

Chris Dotoratos (Bronx, NY) led the squad with 19 assists and also added three digs and a pair of kills. Mike Quinn (Wantagh, NY) continued his strong play with 12 assists, six defensive digs and five kills.

David Guerrero (East Meadow, NY) recorded nine service aces in the contest to go along with nine digs and six kills. John Furka (Massapequa, NY) contributed three service aces in the match and also had three winners.

The win moves the Mount to 12-14 overall on the season. Mount Saint Vincent will be back in action next on Sunday afternoon at Bard for the Skyline Conference Championships. The Dolphins, the second seed, with tussle with third seeded Polytechnic at 1:00 p.m. The winners of the two semifinal matches will move onto the final which will be played 45 minutes following the Dolphins’ semifinal match.
