Dolphins tabbed eighth in Skyline Preseason Men’s Tennis Poll

The Men's Tennis team was picked to finish eighth in the Skyline Conference Preseason Poll.
LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – The Men’s Tennis team at the College of Mount Saint Vincent has been picked to finish eighth in the Skyline Conference Preseason Coaches’ Poll it was announced on Wednesday evening. The Dolphins received seven points in the poll voted on by the league’s eight head coaches.

Yeshiva was picked as the preseason favorite with 42 total points and four first place votes. The Maccabees narrowly beat out Purchase who finished with 41 points and two first place nods and St. Joseph’s (LI) who had 39 points and one first place vote. Following in fourth is Bard with 29 points with Mount Saint Mary is right behind in fifth place with 27 points and a first place vote. Rounding out the eight team field are Polytechnic with 20 points, Farmingdale St. with 19 and the Dolphins with seven.

Mount Saint Vincent will open the 2008 campaign on March 19 with a road match at Division II Saint Thomas-Aquinas. The Dolphins will play their first Skyline Conference match on March 26 at Mount Saint Mary.
