Guerrero and Pufahl would both go on to record three defensive digs in the contest in support of their offensive output. John Furka (Massapequa, NY) continued his efficient offensive play after recording seven kills and a .462 hitting percentage. Ryan Vogel (Holbrook, NY) and Mike Quinn (Wantagh, NY) also contributed to a balanced attack with eight and five kills, respectively.
Quinn also led the team with 24 assists in the match to go along with five defensive digs and a total block. Chris Dotoratos (Bronx, NY) contributed 17 helpers on the night and was one of four players to post a pair of service aces. Dotoratos also led the team with 10 digs and also recorded a pair of total blocks.
Joining Dotoratos with two service aces in the match were Furka, Vogel and Fitzroy Lawson (Kingston, Jamaica). Vogel also had six digs, while Lawson posted a pair of digs and a total block.
Overall in the match, the Dolphins recorded 46 kills and had a hitting percentage of .270. Mount Saint Vincent also finished with eight service aces, 38 digs and three total team blocks.
The win moves Mount Saint Vincent to 9-14 overall on the season. The Dolphins will be back in action on Thursday night when they hit to road to take on Yeshiva. The road match with the Maccabees is set for 8:00 p.m.
