The College offers full-time students a residence program designed to enhance their engagement, learning, and citizenship. The Director oversees the functioning of the residence halls and coordinates the activities of the Residence Life Staff. Responsibilities include developing community within the residence halls, implementing residence policies and regulations, adjudicating disciplinary matters, and programming.
The College maintains five residence halls, each housing between 75 and 250 students and offering a variety of amenities, including study-lounges, kitchenettes, and laundry rooms. Rooms are single, double, or triple occupancy and are equipped with bed, dresser, desk, chair, closet, cable television access, as well as telephone (voice) and data jacks. Students supply their own linens, drapes, desk lamps, and other personal items.
All resident students are on a meal plan that covers the Fall and Spring semesters exclusive of vacation periods. Residents choose one of three meal plan options at the start of each semester.
Residence halls are staffed by a Resident Director, student Resident Assistants, and 24-hour desk security coverage. Visitation and guest policies as well as all other applicable policies appear in the Student Handbook and the Room and Board Contract. Students are expected to observe every reasonable precaution and follow residence hall regulations for the safety and well-being of all campus residents.
