Scholarship Tribute Dinner to be held April 22
Honors Excellence and Funds Student Scholarships

This year the college is pleased to honor Mark L. Bodden, Vice President/Program Director, The Rudin Foundations; Thomas J. Kenny, Managing Director and Co-head of Goldman Sachs Asset Management’s Global and Fixed Income Portfolio Team; and James J. Kerwin, President and Chief Executive Officer, Bankers Life Insurance Company of NY (now a part of Aviva Life and Annuity Company of NY).  Honorees are recognized for their business acumen, commitment to excellence in education and support of the mission of the College.

As Vice President / Program Director for The Rudin Foundations, Mark Bodden directs the philanthropic activities of three of our City’s most prestigious family foundations.  He has had many years of corporate giving, public policy and consulting experience and is involved in many philanthropic activities. He serves as a member of the Board of the New York Regional Association of Grantmakers and the Dean’s Council at the Steinhardt School of Culture, Education and Human Development at NYU. A graduate of Cornell University, Mark also attended the National Law Center at George Washington University.

Thomas Kenny joined Goldman Sachs in 1999. In 2005 he became a Managing Director and Co-Head of Goldman Sachs Asset Management’s Global Cash and Fixed Income Portfolio team, responsible for managing assets in excess of $340 billion across multiple strategies with teams in London, Tokyo and New York. Prior joining Goldman Sachs, he spent 13 years at Franklin Templeton Group of Funds.  He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of California and an MS from Golden Gate University. Tom is involved with a number of philanthropic organizations including, World Team Sports and Shake-a-Leg.

Jim Kerwin is President and Chief Executive Officer, Bankers Life Insurance Company of New York.  Now a part of Aviva PLC, the fifth largest insurance group in the world, and renamed the Aviva Life and Annuity Company of New York, Jim serves as Executive Vice President of this New York Company. He has worked in a variety of positions for firms including: Executive Life Insurance Company of NY; ING of NY; and Indianapolis Life Insurance Company. He earned his undergraduate degree from Mount St. Mary's College and his MA from Dowling College. Jim currently serves on the Board of the Directors of the Life Insurance Council of New York and is involved in numerous other charitable organizations.
