The Dolphins were selected to finish sixth in the Skyline Conference Pre-Season Poll.
LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – The College of Mount Saint Vincent Men’s Lacrosse teams has been selected to finish sixth in the Skyline Conference Pre-Season Poll it was announced on Tuesday afternoon. The Dolphins received five points in the poll voted on by the league’s six head coaches that was headed by Montclair State.

Montclair State received 25 points in the poll, including five first place nods. Richard Stockton followed in second with 17 total points and a single first place vote. Rounding out the six team field are Maritime in third with 16 points, Kean in fourth with 15 points, Farmingdale State in fifth place with 12 points and the Dolphins with five in sixth.

The Dolphins return their top five scores from 2007. Jason Reynolds (Centereach, NY) returns after leading the Dolphins in goals (20) and points (20) in 2007.  Also back for the Mount is its leading assist man in Billy Downes (Barkhamsted, CT) who posted six helpers a year ago. Goalie Tom Egan (Nanuet, NY) also returns after leading the Dolphins in appearances in goal (14) and saves (195).
 
Mount Saint Vincent opens the 2008 campaign with a road contest on Wednesday, February 20 at USMMA. The game is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
