Academics
Mount Saint Vincent
students are academically competitive. They are
critical thinkers and creative learners. Incoming
students ranked in the top 50 percent of their high
school classes and achieved an average GPA of
an 85. The average SAT score was a 1040 (critical
reading/math combination).
Composition
At the Mount, 42 percent of the class is Hispanic,
African American, Asian/Pacific Islander, or multiracial
students; 46 percent are Caucasian. The remaining 12
percent come from other backgrounds or did not
report.
Geographical
Distribution
Most of the students grew up in New
York, Connecticut, or New Jersey; however, there were
freshmen from 18 states including California,
Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Maine, New Hampshire,
Pennsylvania, Illinois, Virginia, Ohio, Hawaii, and
Maryland.
