Men’s Volleyball opens season with 3-0 win at Polytechnic
Guerrero has strong debut with 19 kills

Chris Dotoratos helped the Mount to a 3-0 win in its season opener on Monday night. 
BROOKLYN, NY – The College of Mount Saint Vincent Men’s Volleyball team opened the 2008 season with a 3-0 win at Polytechnic on Monday night. Scores of the match were 30-25, 30-23 and 30-16 in favor of the Dolphins. Freshman David Guerrero (East Meadow, NY) had a strong collegiate debut for the Dolphins, recording 19 kills in his first match in the blue and gold.

In addition to his 19 winners, the rookie outside hitter posted seven service aces and a dig for the Dolphins. Mike Quinn (Wantagh, NY) also had a strong debut for the Mount as he posted 27 assists in the match to go along with three aces, four digs and a single kill.

Chris Dotoratos (Bronx, NY) also had a strong night for the Mount, as he finished with seven assists, a pair of service aces and a dig.

The win puts the Mount at 1-0 overall on the season. The Dolphins will return to action on Thursday night when they travel to Hunter. The match is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m.
