Michelle Cabahug (Queens Village, NY) led the Dolphins over Old Westbury by winning two individual events and swimming with two winning relay teams. Cabahug bested the field in the 50-yard backstroke in a time of 34.07 seconds and then finished first in the 100-yard back in a time of 1.14.67. Cabahug was also a part of the 200-yard medley and 200-yard freestyle relay teams that finished first.
Kim Abbott (Malone, NY) helped the Dolphins to their win over Saint Elizabeth by winning three events. Abbott won the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 7:00.37 and then the 200-yard free in a time of 2:32.81. She closed out an impressive swim with a win in the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 30.75 seconds.
The 200-yard freestyle relay team also swan well against Saint Elizabeth. The quartet of Megan Clark (Silver Spring, MD), Cabahug, Andrea De La Torre (Valley Stream, NY) and Marie Garcia (Medford, MA) won the event in a time of 2:02.06, shaving time off of their season’s best.
At 3-2 the Dolphins will be back in the pool on Saturday, December 1 when they take on Sarah Lawrence. The road meet is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
