11/12/2007 - PURCHASE, NY – In its first Skyline meet of the season, the College of Mount Saint Vincent Women’s Swimming team was defeated 136-113 at Purchase on Saturday. Andrea de la Torre (Valley Stream, NY) and Michelle Cabahug (Queens Village, NY) both had strong swims on Saturday for the Dolphins.

De la Torre had a solid showing in the 100-yard freestyle, as she lowered her time in the event by swimming a 1:07.75 against Purchase. Cabahug continued her strong early season by winning the 50-yard backstroke on Saturday. She bested the field in the event with a time of 35.07 seconds.

With the loss, the Dolphins fall to 1-2 overall on the season, 0-1 in the Skyline Conference and 1-1 in the Hudson Valley Women’s Athletic Conference.
