A true nerd at heart, Ana likes to brag about her academic achievements. Passionate about science, Ana was attracted to College of Mount Saint Vincent because of the strength of its Biology Program and the opportunities available to her in genetic research.

Ana is a freshman at MSV, but is originally from Caracas, Venezuela. She found out about MSV through the internet, and didn’t step foot on campus until she moved into the residence halls a few days before classes began. Besides the biology program, what really attracted Ana was the location, near the city but not in the city, and the small school environment.

There are many things she misses about home: Flamenco dancing, which she did professionally, the food, and her family. Sightseeing in NYC, and watching ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ with her roommate help to keep her from feeling homesick. But what really motivates her is the sacrifice her parents are making to send her to school here.
