10/31/2007 - RIVERDALE, NY – The College of Mount Saint Vincent Women’s Volleyball team will travel to Farmingdale State on Wednesday night to compete in its first ever Skyline Conference Tournament contest. At 14-14 overall on the season and with a 4-5 mark within the league, the Dolphins will tangle with the third seeded Rams Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m.

In their only other meeting with Farmingdale in 2007, the Dolphins dropped a 3-1 decision to the Rams. Senior Meghan Flaherty (Yonkers, NY) led the way for the Mount with 10 kills 

The Women's Volleyball team will take on Farmingdale St. in the Skyline Conference Quartfinals on Wednesday night

and added four defensive digs and a pair of service aces. Bridget Leonard (Poughkeepsie, NY) led the team with 20 assists and Lisa O’Shea (White Plains, NY) posted 21 digs in the contest to lead the Dolphins.

For the season, Flaherty leads the team with 231 kills, good for 2.54 per game. Freshman Christina Pierre (Bronx, NY) is second on the team with 163 kills, while Edeana Martinez (Bronx, NY) is third with 161 winners on the season.

Leonard leads the team in assist with 456 assists and in service aces with 97, good for just over one per game. O’Shea holds the team lead in digs with 282 on the season, while Martinez holds the team mark with 53 total blocks.

With a win over Farmingdale, the Dolphins would advance to the Skyline Semifinals to meet second-seeded Polytechnic.
