Dolphins shutout at Farmingdale, 2-0
Alessi makes 14 saves for the Mount
10/20/2007 - FARMINGDALE, NY – The Dolphins Women’s Soccer squad dropped a 2-0 decision at Farmingdale State (11-5, 7-0) on Saturday afternoon. Senior goalkeeper Alexis Alessi (Rockville, Centre, NY) stopped 14 shots in the game, as the Mount fell to 5-8 overall on the season an 2-4 in Skyline Conference play.

The Rams opened the scoring at 16:01 on a goal by Kristine Ostrem for the eventual game winning tally. Farmingdale would add an insurance goal, scored by Christina Cascio, in the 63rd minute to send Farmingdale to the final 2-0 advantage.

For the game, the Dolphins were out shot 30-0 by the Rams. Corner kicks in the game were 6-0 in favor of Farmingdale and fouls were called 11-2 against the Rams.

After an off day on Sunday, the Mount will be back on the field to take on Yeshiva Monday night. Kick-off is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. at Tibbetts Brook Park in Yonkers.
