Dolphins top Yeshiva in Women’s Tennis
Lorenzen, Fraino, and Donnelly pick up wins
10/16/2007 - YONKERS, NY – The College of Mount Saint Vincent Women’s Tennis team picked up a 5-2 win against Yeshiva on Monday evening in a match shortened by darkness. Jessica Lorenzen (Pembroke, NH), Megan Fraino (New City, NY) and Carol Donnelly (Baldwin Harbor, NY) all scored victories for the Dolphins in singles action.

Lorenzen downed Yeshiva’s Leah Michaels at fourth singles by a score of 6-0, 6-0, while Fraino won at fifth singles 6-2, 6-2 over Ariella Kaplan. Donnelly was victorious at the sixth position over Ester Stiefel, 6-0, 6-0.

In doubles action, Mount Saint Vincent won at the second and third positions over Yeshiva. Karen Laurent (East Elmhurst, NY) teamed with Lorenzen at second doubles for an 8-1 win, while Kathleen Nealon (Maspeth, NY) and Michele Kirby (Bloomingdale, NJ) won 8-2 at the third doubles position.

With the win, the Dolphins improved to 6-8 overall on the season and 2-6 in Skyline Conference play.
