The women’s team claimed fifth place out of seven teams on Sunday with a point total of 134, topping that of Skyline rival Farmingdale State. In a race featuring several Division I opponents, Iribarne was able to finish ahead of runners from both Fordham and St. John’s. The Dolphins top five was rounded out by Erin Davies (Islip, NY) in 38th place in a time of 17:32, Garcia in 42nd place with her 18:18 showing, Theresa Santini (Lynbrook, NY) in 45th with a time of 19:07, and Mary Eileen Kiernan (Rockaway Point, NY) in 46th, showing a time of 19:14.
On the men’s side, Galvin was again the Mount’s frontrunner with his 46th place finish in 19:30. Rounding out the field for the Dolphins were David Guerrero (East Meadow, NY) in 66th place with a time of 21:45, Joe Nickerson (Jersey City, NJ) in 70th place in a time of 23:00, and M.A. Basa ( Yonkers, NY) in the 76th position in a time of 28:22.
The Dolphins will return to the trails on Saturday, October 20 when they take part in the St. Joseph’s Invitational.
