Galgano dropped a 1-6, 4-6 match at Mount Saint Mary on October 3, before rebounding for wins against the College of Saint Elizabeth and Cooper Union. The rookie downed Saint Elizabeth’s Kim Christel 8-2 on October 5, before topping Cooper Union’s Smitha Krishnan 10-6 a day later. Galgano also teamed with Noelle Ebbitts (Coram, NY) at first doubles for an 8-5 win over Saint Elizabeth.
For the season, Galgano stands at 4-5 in singles competition and has teamed with Ebbitts to post a 5-4 record at first doubles.
Overall on the season, the Dolphins stand at 5-7 overall and hold a 3-2 mark in the HVWAC. The Dolphins, who had their match at Sarah Lawrence on Tuesday suspended due to weather, will be back in action on Saturday when they host Purchase. The match is set to being at 12:00 p.m. at Tibbetts Brook Park in Yonkers.
