Withdrawal from a Course
Students who wish to withdraw from a course with no academic penalty must meet with their academic advisor and complete a Withdrawal Form no later than the dates specified in the College Calendar

"W" Withdrawals
Withdrawals from courses during the first week of a semester will not be reflected on a student's permanent record (transcript) and are free. These course withdrawals will be reflected as a "W"* on students' transcripts

  • A $20.00 fee per course withrawal will be assessed
  • Students will not receive any tuition refund when they withdraw from a course.
  • An excessive number of withdrawals may impact a student's eligibility for some financial aid forms.

It is not sufficient for the student to simply inform the instructor that he or she is withdrawing from a course. Students who do not follow the above procedure to maintain course registration, may have a grade of “F” assigned for the course.

*W indicates withdrawal from a course in which the student is regularly enrolled. In “W” courses, neither quality hours or quality points are assigned.

"WF" Withdrawals
Courses dropped after the specified dates will be assigned a grade of  "WF" and will be entered on the student's permanent record (transcript).

Withdrawal from the College

Students who want to withdraw from the college must contact the Center for Academic Advisement(Founders Hall, Room 408) as well as notify in writing the Registrar's Office to give the effective date of withdrawal and, where necessary, the last date of attendance.

Failure to follow this procedure may result in the assignment of the grade of “F” in courses as well as all charges for tuition.
