Students who wish to withdraw from a course with no academic penalty must meet with their academic advisor and complete an Add/Drop (withdrawal) form no later than the dates specified in the College Calendar.
Withdrawals from courses during the first week of a semester will not be reflected on a students' permanent record (transcript), and are free of charge.
Course withdrawals completed after the first week of a semester will be reflected as a "W" on students' transcripts
- A $10.00 fee per course withrawal will be assessed
- W indicates withdrawal from a course in which the student is regularly enrolled. In “W” courses, neither quality hours or quality points are assigned.
- Students will not receive any tuition refund when they withdraw from a course.
- Students are warned that an excessive number of withdrawals may impact their eligibility for some forms of financial aid.
- It is not sufficient for the student to simply inform the instructor that he or she is withdrawing from the course. Students who do not follow the above procedure maintain course registration and may have a grade of “F” assigned for the course.
Students must inform the instructors and return class materials.
Students who do not follow this procedure maintain course registration and are assigned a grade of "F".
Courses dropped after the specified dates will be assigned a grade of "WF" and will be entered on the student's permanent record (transcript).
Withdrawal from the College
Students wishing to withdraw from the college must contact the Office of Academic Advising (ADMIN Room 310) as well as notify in writing the Registrar’s office giving the effective date of withdrawal, and, where necessary, the last date of attendance. Failure to follow this procedure may result in the assignment of the grade of “F” in courses as well as all charges for tuition.
