Where do graduate classes meet?
Classes meet at our Riverdale campus, conveniently located 12 miles from midtown Manhattan and minutes from the Henry Hudson Parkway and the George Washington Bridge. We also hope to offer graduate courses at our mid-Manhattan site, St. Vincent’s Midtown Hospital, which is near the West Side Highway in the near future. Students can also look up class time and locations through Self Service, the College's student service software. Please check with the School of Professional and Continuing Studies for more information.
Where can I pick up a copy of an application for the graduate programs or the certificate programs?
Stop by the Office of Admissions to pick up a copy of any application in person. Our office is located at 6301 Riverdale Avenue, Fonthill Castle, Riverdale, NY, 10471. You can also request that a copy of the application for any of our graduate programs be mailed to you. Please contact the SPCS at 718-405-3321 for more information. Finally, you can download a copy of either the nursing or education graduate applications.
When should I apply?
For fall admission, we recommend that prospective students apply between April and August. For spring admission, we recommend that students apply between September and December. For the summer session, students should apply between February and April.
How can I find out if I will qualify for admission?

Is parking available?
Yes, we offer parking facilities for a small annual fee. Additional information regarding on-campus parking.
What are your office hours?
During the academic year the SPCS is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Contact us a 718-4050-3322, to set up an appointment to meet with one of the SPCS staff members.
Do you offer financial aid to graduate students?
Loan programs are available for qualified students. For more information please visit the Office of Financial Aid.

I am thinking about going back to school to get a master's degree. I think an MBA might be a good option for me, but I am not 100% sure. What are my options?
If you are looking to get additional information regarding our MBA program, attending one of our information sessions is a good first step. We are also happy to send you an packet of information in the mail, e-mail mba@mountsaintvincent.edu to request one.
We also allow students to 'test drive' our MBA program. Prospective students may take up to 12 credits (up to 4 courses) as a non-matriculated student without the requirement of submitting an application. MBA FAQs
Q. What are the application requirements?
- A. A completed application. The application can be submitted online or a paper copy can be requested.
- An application fee of $50.00. (This fee applies to the submission of a paper application only. There is no cost for the online application).
- GRE or GMAT test score (The test score submitted must be less than 5 years old).
- Official transcripts from all post secondary institutions attended, minimum GPA required – 3.0*
- Applicants who have non-U.S. credentials must present a course-by-course evaluation of their international credentials. A number of agencies provide this service. The preferred service is the World Education Services (WES). Greater detail on the evaluation services and costs may be found at http://www.wes.org/.
- 2 letters of recommendation (one professional and one academic letter preferred)
- A Personal Statement: (2 – 3 pages double spaced in length, typed). Questions to be answered in the statement – What life experiences have brought you to the point of considering the pursuit of an MBA? What are your short and long term goals after graduation? Why do you feel the CMSV MBA is the right degree for you?
- A copy of the applicant's resume
* Students who have a cumulative GPA of less than a 3.0 are welcome to apply. These applicants may be invited in for an interview at the discretion of the Admissions Committee.

Q. Do I have to take the GMAT?
A. You may take the GMAT or the GRE, you do not need to take both.

Q. How many credits is the program?
A. From 36-60. There are 24 credits that can be waived based upon recent undergraduate study. The waivers reduce the credit load. A grade of B or better in an undergraduate equivalent course(s) can grant a MBA waiver. The classes must be 7 years old or less.
Q. Do you have an application deadline?
A. No. Admission to the MBA program is done on a rolling basis.
Q. Do you need to have work experience to be accepted into Mount Saint Vincent’s MBA Program?
A. No. Many students do have considerable work experience; however, it is not a prerequisite for admission.
Q. Is there any way to have the application fee waived?
A. Yes. Online applications do not require an application fee.
Q. I am currently in another school’s MBA Program. Does Mount Saint Vincent accept transfer MBA credit?
A. In addition to the eight core classes that can be waived based on undergraduate or graduate credit, one or two classes may be accepted as transfer credit at the discretion of the Director of the Program. All students must complete a minimum of 36 credit hours within the MBA Program to have a degree conferred at Mount Saint Vincent.
Q. Can I complete the entire program through on-line courses?
A. Not at this time.
Q. Do I need an undergraduate business degree to apply to your graduate business program?
A. No. The MBA program is an attractive option for undergraduate business majors. Since MBA programs are traditionally designed to permit an individual with any undergraduate major to enter and complete the program, it must contain courses covering the basic areas of business competency, such as marketing and accounting. Undergraduate business majors, however, may be waived from up to 24 credits in this core MBA curriculum. Undergraduate business majors at Mount Saint Vincent may follow a combined 5 year BS / MBA program.
