SHRM® Essentials of Human Resource Management Certificate Program

The SHRM® Essentials of Human Resource Management Certificate Program is an introductory course offering a comprehensive overview of the human resource function. The course covers some of today's most vital and timely topics, including employment law, selecting qualified employees, compensation, orientation and training, and the employee performance process.
The College of Mount Saint Vincent, in partnership with SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) will be offering this course in the fall beginning Thursday October 14th, 2010. The course will be offered in Manhattan, at the College's Grace Institute site, located at 1233 Second Avenue, between 64th and 65th Streets (3rd Floor).
The SHRM® Essentials course is designed specifically to challenge and provide you with the skills needed to face today's complex HR situations within your organization with confidence. Throughout the course, you will participate in interactive case study activities designed to give you practice handling real-life HR situations.

The SHRM® Essentials Course:
The course consists of 6 learning modules that cover a broad spectrum of topics related to the human resources field. They are:

Course Information:

Fall 2010 classes begin Thursday, October 14th, 2010, and will be held once per week on Thursdays from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM for six weeks. The class dates (all Thursdays) are: October 14, 21, 28, and November 4, 11, 18.

The course fee of $495.00 includes the SHRM® Essentials of HR Management Program manual consisting of six modules, glossary, and index, as well as a Participant's Activities Book.
This course will be offered at our eastside midtown Manhattan location. Our easstside midtown Manhattan site is located at 1233 Second Avenue, (between 64th & 65th Streets) in the Grace Institute Building, on the 3rd Floor.
