Post-Masters Nurse Educator Certificate Program
The Post-Masters Nurse Educator Certificate Program is
sponsored by an Advanced Nursing Education Grant from the
U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Health
Resources and Service Administration. The program
is approved by the New York State Education
Department and is congruent with the National League for
Nursing core competencies for nurse educators.
Total Program Credits: 10 and 60 hours teaching practicum
Admission Requirements
Individuals applying for the Nurse Educator Certificate Program must meet the following criteria:
- Completion of Master Degree in Nursing, or Health related area with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Current registered nurse license with one year of recent professional nursing practice
- Eligible to practice as a registered nurse in New York State Completion of application with fee, reference and official college transcript
- Interview with the Director of the Post-Masters Degree Nurse Educator Certificate Program
