Non-Degree Programs
The School of Professional and Continuing Studies offers a number of different non-degree programs throughout the year. These courses are typically offered either during the week in the evening or on the weekend, depending upon the course.

The following non-degree courses are offered through the School of Professional and Continuing Studies:

Pharmacy Technician Certification Program
This 50 hour course will prepare students to enter the field of pharmacy and to take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board's PTCB exam.

SHRM Learning System® Certification Preparation Program 
The course prepares human resource professionals for either the Professional in Human Resources (PHR®) or the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR® ) exam. 

SHRM® Essentials of Human Resource Management Certificate Program 
This introductory course covers today’s most vital and timely topics, including employment law, selecting qualified employees, compensation, orientation and training, and the employee performance process. 

Medical Assistant Administration Program
This 50 hour course covers topics such as anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, insurance billing and coding, medical ethics, customer service, and legal aspects of the health care industry. 

Medical Billing and Coding Program
This 80 hour course teaches students how to solve insurance billing problems, how to manually file claims, complete common insurance forms, trace delinquent claims, appeal denied claims and use generic forms to streamline billing procedures.

CIW - Web Foundation Series
The College of Mount Saint Vincent's School of Professional and Continuing Studies offers its students the opportunity to take CIW Web Foundation Series courses. The series consists of three foundational courses and corresponding certification exams that teach and validate more than mere digital literacy skills.
