Business Administration: The new Master's of Business Administration (MBA) program begins September 2009. The program builds on the College’s strong undergraduate business programs while focusing on the traditional areas of emphasis of the College: its mission, philosophy, and its culture. Be a leader in the world of business, begin your MBA today.
-
Nursing: Nurses with advanced degrees are in great demand in the workplace. Today’s registered and advanced-practice nurses are required to think critically and with compassion, in a complex and rapidly changing system.
-
The College offers graduate programs in nursing that lead to careers as clinical nurse specialists, nurse practitioners, and nurse administrators. Classes are conveniently scheduled in the evening, and students work directly with nationally recognized faculty with experience in the field and in the classroom.
-
For students who already hold master’s degrees, we offer programs that lead to advanced certification as an adult nurse practitioner, a family nurse practitioner, or a nurse educator.
-
Urban & Multicultural Education: The College’s graduate program in Urban & Multicultural Education prepares teachers to assume teaching and leadership positions as practitioners who can provide productive learning environments in multicultural and multilingual classrooms and schools. The program is designed to give teachers the knowledge, skills, and expertise they need to teach effectively in today’s increasingly diverse school systems.
-
Students in the program benefit from small classes, one-on-one advising with dedicated faculty. For those students who hold a bachelor’s degree, we also offer three advanced certificate programs.
-
Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages: The Master of Science in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages at the College of Mount Saint Vincent is designed to prepare prospective teachers of English language learners from Pre-Kindergarten through to grade 12.
-
Students successfully completing this course of study and who pass the requisite teacher certification content specialty examination in ESOL will be eligible for New York State Initial Certification in TESOL.
