HVWAC Softball Report - 5/11/07
Final Report of 2007 offers playoff recap, All-Conference
team, Coach of the Year
5/11/2007 - The final weekend of action for the 2007 HVWAC
Softball season saw some of the most exciting softball of
the season as the Semifinals and Championship Game saw one
lop-sided score and two games that saw a total of five runs
scored. When the dust cleared, second-seeded Mount Saint
Vincent stunned top-seeded St. Joseph's to earn their
first HVWAC Softball crown in five years. Behind the
overpowering right arm of freshman Megan Gonzalez, Mount
Saint Vincent did not allow a run in the HVWAC playoffs,
and Gonzalez was named MVP. Also, the All-Conference team
and HVWAC Coach of the Year was announced. The HVWAC
released its final Softball report of 2007 today.
