HVWAC Softball Report - 5/1/07
St. Joseph's claims HVWAC Regular Season Championship
while CNR turns in the upset of the season
5/1/2007 - The final week of regular season play for HVWAC
Softball turned into a wild affair that saw St.
Joseph's overtake Mount Saint Vincent for the
conference crown as a three-way tie was averted when the
College of New Rochelle stunned Saint Elizabeth on Monday.
St. Joseph's won seven out of 11 games for the week to
finish the season in fine fashion. In other action, Sarah
Lawrence captured an HVWAC win with a victory of Medgar
Evers and a Gryphon freshman turned in one of the finest
weekly performances, conference-wide. Both big winners gain
weekly awards as the HVWAC announced its weekly Softball
Report today.
