5/7/2007 - (Riverdale, NY) - For the second consecutive season, the Mount Saint Vincent Women's Lacrosse team has been selected for the ECAC Upstate/Metro Championships, this time qualifying as the #3 seed. Mount Saint Vincent will face second-seeded Vassar on Saturday at 5:00 p.m. The game will take place at Farmingdale State College on Long Island, New York. Mount Saint Vincent enters the game having finished the 2007 regular season with a 9-7 overall record and advancing to the Skyline Conference Semifinals where they lost 9-8 to Stevens last Wednesday.

In the other side of the bracket, #1 Brockport State will face #4 Farmingdale State on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Farmingdale State. The two winners will meet at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday for the ECAC Championship, also at Farmingdale State.

Mount Saint Vincent qualified for the ECAC Upstate Championships as the #4 seed during the 2006 season, losing to eventual champion Montclair State. In only their third year as a varsity program, Mount Saint Vincent has a combined 30-19 regular season record and is seeking their first-ever post-season win on Saturday. The Dolphins and Vassar have met once before with Vassar scoring an 18-9 win on April 1, 2006 at Vassar College.
