Doubles play set the tone for the match as the Mount's top-two doubles teams fell 8-2 and 8-1, respectively, before the Mount got a lift from Cangiano and Franz, who have been outstanding in the #3 slot this season. However, despite outstanding performances by Cangiano, Maurer, and junior Garrett Cooke (Wickford, RI/Bishop Hendricken) in singles competition, the Dolphins were unable to muster a rally in singles play. Cangiano lost 10-5 at #4 singles, while Cooke fell 10-4 at #3, and Maurer lost a 10-6 battle in the #6 singles position.
Mount Saint Vincent returns to action on Saturday, April 14 when they host Manhattanville College for a 4:00 p.m. Skyline Conference match-up.
