Women's Lacrosse crushes Morrisville State, 17-5 to improve to 4-5
Three Dolphins score four goals apiece as MSV opens 13-2 halftime lead en route to third win during last four games; Dolphins host Stevens on Sunday
4/13/2007 - (Riverdale, NY) - Freshmen Kelly Martin (North Rockland, NY/North Rockland HS) and Katie Tucci (Baldwinsville, NY/Baldwinsville HS), and junior Chanel Comis (Durham, NC/Cardinal Gibbons) scored four goals apiece, and the Dolphin defense held an opponent to 10 goals or less for the sixth time this season as the Mount Saint Vincent Women's Lacrosse team won for the third time during its last four games, 17-5 over visiting Morrisville State on Friday night during a game played at Wien Stadium on the campus of Columbia University. With the win, Mount Saint Vincent now 4-5 after a 1-4 start to the 2007 season.
Junior Chanel Comis scored four goals, three of which came during the first half as the Mount Saint Vincent Women's Lacrosse team improved to 4-5 with a 17-5 win over visiting Morrisville State on Friday night. The Dolphins host Stevens on Sunday at 12:00 p.m.

The Dolphins wasted little time pushing ahead despite the frigid temperatures on Friday night as Martin scored at 28:57 of the first half to open the scoring. 1:27 later, junior Cyndi Adams (Mechanicsville, MD/Chopticon HS) scored on a free position shot to make it 2-0. Martin, Tucci, and Comis scored three minutes apart to make it 5-0, and when Martin scored her third goal of the game at 21:29, it was 6-0 Mount Saint Vincent not even 10 minutes into play. The lead would extend to 8-0 before Morrisville State (1-9) scored at 17:32 of the first half, but the rout was on. Mount Saint Vincent led 13-2 at halftime and cruised to victory.

Also having big nights for Mount Saint Vincent were Adams, who scored twice, as did sophomore Jenna McColgan (Lynbrook, NY/Malverne HS). Freshman Khrystina Jackson (West Islip, NY/West Islip HS) had a game-high three assists.

Mount Saint Vincent returns to action on Sunday, April 15 when they host Skyline Conference foe Stevens at 12:00 at Wien Stadium.
