Egan made six saves during an outstanding first quarter effort as the Dolphins trailed 7-0 after 15 minutes after being out-shot 18-0 during the stretch. The lead was 12-0 at halftime before the Mariners scored nine times during the third quarter to make it 21-0. The Dolphin defense tightened during the fourth quarter as the Mount allowed only two shots during the stretch and did not allow a goal.
Overall, Mount Saint Vincent was outshot 47-5 and was able to play Kings Point even during the final quarter as both teams had two shots, and the Mount had a 10-8 edge in ground balls.
Mount Saint Vincent returns to action on Wednesday, March 28 when they travel to Farmingdale State for a 4:00 p.m. Skyline Conference match-up.
