Baseball falls to Northwestern College, 7-6 during final
game of Spring Training Trip to Florida
Strub pitches six strong innings, Triolo has tremendous day
at the plate; Dolphins travel to Purchase College on Monday

Strub (Bohemia, NY/Connetquot HS) allowed only two
earned runs over eight innings of work, and sophomore
Nick Triolo (Homer, NY/Homer Central HS)
had a fantastic day at the plate, but the Mount Saint
Vincent Baseball team concluded their Spring Training trip
to Fort Pierce, Florida with a 2-5 record after a 7-6 loss
to Northwestern College (MN) during a rain-shortened
eight-inning game. Mount Saint Vincent now heads home after
playing solid baseball throughout the week despite the 2-5
record.
Strub was outstanding and kept the game close throughout his performance, and Triolo had three hits, reached base five times, and drove in three runs. Junior Tanner Munroe (Milford, CT/Foran HS) also had a big game with two hits.
Mount Saint Vincent returns to action on Monday, March 19 when they travel to Purchase College for a 4:00 p.m. game.
