Baseball drops 5-4 extra inning heartbreaker to Penn State-Behrend during Spring Training Trip
O'Leary enjoys magnificent performance on the mound, Brestolli has career day at plate; Dolphins face Northwestern College to close Spring trip on Friday
3/15/2007 - (Fort Pierce, FL) - Junior Jon O'Leary (Bohemia, NY/Connetquot HS) enjoyed a terrific performance on the mound, pitching eight outstanding innings, and freshmen Anthony Brestolli (Wyckoff, NY/Don Bosco) and Joe Blackford (Stewartsville, NJ/Warren Hills Regional HS) continued to shine, but the Mount Saint Vincent Baseball team fell to 2-4 during its Spring Training trip to Fort Pierce, Florida with a 5-4, 12-inning loss to Penn State-Behrend on Thursday night.

O'Leary pitched eight strong innings and Brestolli reached base safely four times, while Blackford had an outstanding defensive game in the outfield. However, the game came down to a controversial call at the plate in the bottom of the 12th inning that allowed Penn State-Behrend to win the rubber game of a three-game series between the two schools in Florida.

Mount Saint Vincent returns to action on Friday when they face Northwestern College (MN) at 12:30 p.m. during their final game in Florida.
