2/13/2007 - For the second consecutive season, St. Joseph's College and Berkeley College are the top-two seeds for the Hudson Valley Men's Athletic Conference (HVMAC) Basketball playoffs. St. Joseph's earned the top seed after storming through their HVMAC schedule, finishing 6-0 in Conference play with only their games against Berkeley being decided by 10 points or less. Berkeley finished the regular season with a 4-2 record, losing twice to St. Joseph's, however they proved to be a worthy contender for the post-season crown during their series with the Bears this season.

Rounding out the four seeds are #3 Mount Saint Vincent, who scored a 66-59 upset win over Pratt on Friday night to win their first-ever HVMAC game and earn the tie-breaker for the #3 seed. Both Mount Saint Vincent and Pratt finished the season with 1-5 HVMAC records as they defeated each other once.

Saturday's Semifinal round will feature St. Joseph's facing Pratt at 1:00 p.m. The Bears defeated Pratt 70-59 on Jan. 18, and 73-55 on Feb. 6.
