HVMAC Basketball Report - 2/6/07
St. Joseph's survives major scare from Mount Saint
Vincent JV; Berkeley continues to play outstanding
basketball
2/6/2007 - What was once a cool jaunt to the HVMAC Regular
Season Championship nearly turned into disaster for the St.
Joseph's College Men's Basketball team when they
found themselves trailing by seven during the final minute
of play of the first half against the Mount Saint Vincent
JV team, and the Bears trailed by a point at halftime.
However, a second half surge allowed St. Joseph's to
score a 91-66 win and all but clinch the HVMAC crown.
Senior Lukasz Cygan was the force behind the comeback and
is this week's HVMAC Player of the Week. In other
action, Berkeley College remained hot with wins over two
tough non-conference opponents, and Knight freshman Jose
Hernandez is the HVMAC Rookie of the Week. The HVMAC
released its weekly basketball report today.
