JV Basketball races out to early lead en route to 66-56 win over Post University
Wright scores season-high 25 points and nets double-double as Dolphins win for sixth time during last 11 games; MSV hosts Pratt Friday night for HVMAC finale
2/6/2007 - (Riverdale, NY) - Senior Kareem Wright (Bronx, NY/Cardinal Hayes) scored a season-high 25 points and added 10 rebounds for his second double-double of the 2006-07 season, and freshman Chris Marrone (Bergenfield, NJ/Bergenfield HS) notched a career-high seven assists as the Mount Saint Vincent JV Basketball team won for the second time in three games, 66-56 over Division II Post University on Tuesday night during a game played at Mount Saint Vincent. With the win, the Dolphins improve to 6-12 overall and have won six of their 11 games after an 0-7 start to the season.

Mount Saint Vincent came out firing and grabbed an early 15 point lead, and remained in the lead by double digits for much of the contest. Wright was virtually unstoppable throughout the night, as was much of the Dolphin offense as eight different Dolphins registered at least two points. Also having big games for the Mount were senior Matt Salamone (Fishkill, NY/John Jay HS), who scored 17 points and added eight rebounds, while freshman Deveron Greaves (Brooklyn, NY/Grand Street Campus HS) added nine points.

Mount Saint Vincent returns to action on Friday, Feb. 9 when the host the Pratt Institute at 7:00 p.m. for their 2006-07 regular season finale. A win could see the Dolphins move out of last place and into the #3 seed for the upcoming Hudson Valley Men's Athletic Conference playoffs.
