Yeshiva scores huge conference upset, MSV continues to roll
2/6/2007 - The end of January brought with it the most
stunning upset of the 2006-07 HVWAC Basketball season as
Yeshiva University overcame three losses to the College of
New Rochelle early in the season to defeat the Blue Angels
61-40 on Thursday. As a result Lady Mac senior Rivke Pianko
is the HVWAC Player of the Week, marking the first YU
player to capture Player of the Week honors this season. In
other action, Mount Saint Vincent continued its outstanding
play and Dolphin Courtney Heesemann was named the HVWAC
Rookie of the Week for the third time this season. The
HVWAC released its weekly Basketball report today.
