Garlan named to Skyline Conference Honor Roll for Men's Basketball
Freshman averages 16.5 points, 6 rebounds, 4.5 assists per game
1/30/2007 - (Riverdale, NY) - Mount Saint Vincent Men's Basketball freshman Kevin Garlan (Jackson Heights, NY/Archbishop Molloy) was named to the Skyline Conference Honor Roll this week after a terrific stretch during which the Dolphins went 0-2. Garlan was the Mount's leading scorer and top assist man last week and has enjoyed a tremendous freshman campaign overall.
Freshman Kevin Garlan was named to the Skyline Conference Honor Roll this week after two outstanding performances against Manhattanville College and SUNY Old Westbury. Mount Saint Vincent returns to action on Thursday, Feb. 1 when they travel to Centenary for a 6:00 p.m. start.

Against Manhattanville, Garlan scored 14 points and added six rebounds and three assists. He also had two steals as the Mount enjoyed perhaps its best hustle game of the season despite losing to the Valiants, who are currently in first place in Skyline Conference play. Three days later, Garlan scored a season-high tying 19 points (on 7 for 15 shooting) and added six rebounds and a season-high six assists as the Mount lost a hotly contested game with Old Westbury.

For the 2006-07 season, Garlan is currently third on the team in scoring with 11.1 points per game and is second in rebounding with 5.2 per game.

Mount Saint Vincent returns to action on Thursday, Feb. 1 when they travel to Centenary College for a 6:00 p.m. tip-off.
