Men's Volleyball opens 2007 with a 3-0 sweep of Polytechnic
Pufahl falls just shy of double-double, Ross has big night; Dolphins host Hunter College on Wednesday
1/15/2007 - (Brooklyn, NY) - Sophomore T.J. Pufahl (Bethpage, NY/Bethpage HS) registered a team-high nine kills and added 12 digs to just miss a double-double, and junior Arnold Ross (Wilton, ME/Mount Blue HS) added eight kills and 11 digs as the Mount Saint Vincent Men's Volleyball team opened the 2007 season with a 3-0 win over NECVA Metro rival Polytechnic on Monday night. The Dolphins swept the match by scores of 30-20, 30-27, and 30-20.

Pufahl and Ross led an effort that registered only 27 kills, but the Mount played a solid defensive game to secure the win. Overall, Mount Saint Vincent amassed an outstanding 48 digs and seven total blocks. The Dolphins also received a terrific night from senior Dan Williams (Brick Township, NJ/St. Rose), who had five kills, a team-high eight service aces, and two total blocks.

Mount Saint Vincent returns to action on Wednesday, Jan. 17 when they host Hunter College for their 2007 home opener at 7:00 p.m.
