JV Basketball falls to Knights after strong second-half comeback
Kube scores career-high 26 points, Wright/Greaves have outstanding games; Dolphins travel to Culinary Institute on Sunday
1/13/2007 - (Riverdale, NY) - Freshman Ralph Kube (West Babylon, NY/West Babylon HS) scored a career-high 26 points, and senior Kareem Wright (Bronx, NY/Cardinal Hayes) and freshman Deveron Greaves (Brooklyn, NY/Grand Street Campus HS) had strong games, but the Mount Saint Vincent JV Basketball team lost its third straight game to open 2007, 79-59 to Berkeley College during a Hudson Valley Men's Athletic Conference (HVMAC) game played at Mount Saint Vincent. With the loss - their third of the season to Berkeley - Mount Saint Vincent falls to 3-10 and is now 0-3 in HVMAC play.

The score does not indicate the level of play during the game as Mount Saint Vincent hung tough early with their HVMAC powerhouse foe, but a late Berkeley rally put the Knights ahead, 38-24 at halftime. The second half saw Berkeley (6-3, 3-1 HVMAC) go on a 10-0 run to extend the lead to 24 points, but Mount Saint Vincent stormed back. Kube scored 20 of his 26 points during the second half, and Wright and Greaves took over on the boards as the Dolphins closed the deficit to nine late in the game, but Berkeley proved to be too much as the game wound down. Wright finished with seven rebounds and six assists, while Greaves chipped in eight rebounds.

Mount Saint Vincent returns to action tomorrow when they travel to the Culinary Institute of America for a 1:00 p.m. game
