Dolphins on a roll: Men's JV Basketball defeats Sarah Lawrence 67-30 for third straight win
MSV opens up 40-15 halftime lead to improve to 3-7; Kube nets fifth double-double of 2006-07 season
12/7/2006 - (Bronxville, NY) - Freshman Ralph Kube (West Babylon, NY/West Babylon HS) notched his fifth double-double of the 2006-07 season, and freshman Wes Frederique (Bayside, NY/Benjamin Cardozo HS) added a game-high 13 points as the Mount Saint Vincent JV Basketball team won its third straight game, 67-30 over Sarah Lawrence College on Thursday night during a game played at Sarah Lawrence. With the win, Mount Saint Vincent ends the 2006 portion of their schedule with a 3-7 record and have nine regular season games to play.

Kube and Frederique each scored seven points during the first half in which the Mount opened a 40-15 lead. The Dolphins also enjoyed a decisive edge on the boards and scored most of their points in transition as the speedy Mount team opened things up. Mount Saint Vincent hit four three-point shots during the first half.


The second half was no different despite a slower tempo as Kube, Frederique and company continued to shoot well.  Kube grabbed three rebounds during the final 20 minutes to give him 12 rebounds for the game. Also enjoying terrific efforts during the second half were freshman Sean Remekie (Rhinebeck, NY/Rhinebeck HS), who scored six points, and Matt Salamone (Fishkill, NY/John Jay HS) and Eugene Toussaint (Bronxriver, NY/Msgr. Scanlan) combined for 12 points.

Mount Saint Vincent shot more than 55% for the game, and grabbed 44 rebounds.

The Dolphins return to action on Wednesday, Jan. 3 when they travel to St. Joseph's (Brooklyn) for a crucial HVMAC contest. Tip-off will be at 7:30 p.m.
