Women's Swimming now 3-0 with tri-meet sweep of Marymount, CNR
Dolphins look to make it 4-0 on Friday night at Purchase College
11/8/2006 - (Tarrytown, NY) - It's 3 for 3 for the Mount Saint Vincent Women's Swimming team as the Dolphins swept a tri-meet with Marymount College and the College of New Rochelle on Wednesday night, downing the host Saints 160-63 and defeating a very good CNR team, 139-99 to improve to 3-0 for the 2006 season. The Mount is also undefeated in Hudson Valley Women's Athletic Conference (HVWAC) play.

Against Marymount, Mount Saint Vincent captured 11 first place finishes en route to a commanding win over a Saints team that was the HVWAC Champion in 2004. Sophomore Elise Henrich (Brooklyn, NY/Bishop Kearney) was victorious in the 100-IM and 200-IM, while sophomore Jillian Stark (Brooklyn, NY/St. Edmund's Prep), junior Marie Garcia (Medford, MA/Medford HS), and senior Maggie McGowan (Brooklyn, NY/St. Savior) were each victorious in two events as well.

CNR showed tremendous improvement over previous years with a very young team, but Mount Saint Vincent captured the win thanks to two victories apiece by McGowan, Stark,  and Andrea De La Torre (Valley Stream, NY/Mary Louis Academy). Mount Saint Vincent also captured first place in both relay events against both opponents.

Mount Saint Vincent returns to action on Friday, Nov. 10 when they travel to Purchase College for an HVWAC meet at 7:00 p.m.
