Top-seeded Mount Saint Vincent reached the HVMAC Finals for the second time in three years by virtue of a 5-0 win over Webb on Sunday at Westchester Community College. The Dolphins opened up a 2-0 halftime lead and then extended the advantage to five thanks to the dynamic scoring efforts of senior Chris MacDonald and junior Chris Herrera. MacDonald netted three goals and an assist while Herrera scored twice and added an assist. Junior goalie Martino Cecere made 11 saves to record Mount Saint Vincent's first shutout of 2006. Mount Saint Vincent - who finishes the regular season on Wednesday when they host Mount Saint Mary - is currently 4-12-1.
Second-seeded Culinary advanced to the Championship Game thanks to a 4-0 win over defending HVMAC Tournament Champion Cooper Union on Sunday, giving Culinary a sweep of the Eagles for the 2006 season.
