Women's Volleyball dominates Pratt, 3-0, to finish regular season 15-10

10/27/2006 - (Riverdale, NY) - Freshman Michelle Dedvukaj (Bronx, NY/St. Catherine) and senior Jessica Thorn (Farmingdale, NJ/Colt's Neck HS) each registered five kills, and Thorn added nine assists and nine digs as the Mount Saint Vincent Women's Volleyball team ended the 2006 regular season with a 3-0 win over the Pratt Institute on Friday night during a match played at Mount Saint Vincent. With the win, the Dolphins are now 15-10 overall and finish the 2006 season with an 8-1 record in Hudson Valley Women's Athletic Conference (HVWAC) play.

The Dolphins swept the match with scores of 30-15, 30-17, and 30-26 to allow second-year Head Coach Ennio Escoto to improve his career HVWAC regular season record to 17-1.

Dedvukaj and Thorn were two nine Dolphins to record kills as the Mount hit .194 for the match, and they also recorded 19 service aces and 48 digs.

Up next for Mount Saint Vincent is the HVWAC playoffs as they have earned a bye for Tuesday's first round. The Mount will host the HVWAC Semifinals on Friday against an opponent to be determined shortly.
