The Gladys Brooks Foundation generously awarded the College $100,000 for the renovation of nursing arts laboratories in the Administration Building.
The Charles A. Mastronardi Foundation generously awarded grant funding totaling $50,000 in 2006-2007; this includes $20,000 dedicated to the Mastronardi Foundation Scholarship Fund, and $30,000 in unrestricted funds which will be used to improve and expand the College’s athletic facilities.
Marketsmith, Inc. contributed $5,000 to the College’s endowment in 2006-2007 as part of a $25,000 commitment to establish the Marketsmith Award for Entrepreneurship. In addition, Thomas L. Harrison, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Diversified Agency Services division of Omnicom, contributed $25,000 in 2006-2007 to this endowment. The award will be given annually by a panel of alumnae/i entrepreneurs to the student who submits the best original business plan. Monica Smith ‘90, Chief Executive Officer and founder of Marketsmith, Inc., started the endowment fund in 2005-2006.
Mutual of America contributed $69,231 toward the improvement and expansion of athletic facilities and for renovated Chemistry laboratories in the Science Building. The funds matched a generous donation from alumna and trustee Joan Squires and her husband Thomas Moran.
The Henry E. Niles Foundation generously granted the College $10,000 toward the renovation of Chemistry laboratories in the Science Building.
The Santa Maria Foundation awarded the College $50,000 as part of an unrestricted grant of $250,000 over five years. These funds will be used to expand and improve athletic facilities through the generosity of the Grace family.
