Women’s Swimming announces 2006-07 schedule
Dolphins to compete during Spring Semester for second straight year; look for elusive HVWAC Championship
10/18/2006 - (Riverdale, NY) – Nine regular season meets headline the 2006-07 Mount Saint Vincent Women’s Swimming Schedule as the Dolphins seek to continue incredible progress they have made during the last three years. The 2005-06 campaign was a successful one for the Mount as the Dolphins finished fifth in the Skyline Conference and was the Hudson Valley Women’s Athletic Conference (HVWAC) runner-up for the second straight year.

The 2006-07 campaign begins on Oct. 29 as the Mount travels to Mount Saint Mary for their annual invitational that is expected to draw in upwards of a dozen teams. From there, the Mount will complete their HVWAC schedule during the first two weeks of October with highlights including a clash with 2004 HVWAC Champion Marymount College on Wednesday, Nov. 8 as part of a tri-meet with the College of New Rochelle, and a head-to-head meet with 2005 HVWAC Champion Sarah Lawrence on Thursday, Nov. 16 at Sarah Lawrence. Mount Saint Vincent will also travel to face CUNY powerhouse Hunter College on Wednesday, Nov. 15.

The Skyline Conference Championships will take place on Saturday, Nov. 18 at USMMA-Kings Point, and the HVWAC Championships will happen on Friday, Dec. 1 at Sarah Lawrence College.

The Spring semester brings with it three competitions as the Mount will face some of the strongest teams in the Skyline Conference, including a tri-meet with Old Westbury and Mount Saint Mary on Saturday, Feb. 10.

Mount Saint Vincent enters the 2006-07 season with new Head Coach Beth Clark at the helm as former Coach Pat Cullen resigned during the summer to pursue other career opportunities.
