After the Mount’s top-two singles players were swept, 6-0, 6-0 at first and second singles, Lorenzen provided a spark in the #3 spot, but ultimately dropped a 6-3, 6-2 thriller. Mount Saint Vincent fell behind 5-0 in singles play, and Burud battled, but ultimately lost, 6-3, 6-2 at sixth singles.
From there, Mount Saint Mary cruised through doubles play to improve to 5-4, 1-2 Skyline Conference.
Mount Saint Vincent returns to action on Friday, Oct. 20 when they travel to the College of Saint Elizabeth for a 4:00 Hudson Valley Women’s Athletic Conference (HVWAC) match.
