10/12/2006 - (Riverdale, NY) - Junior Katie Balch (Peekskill, NY/Peekskill HS) had an outstanding night with nine kills, and freshman Michelle Dedvukaj (Bronx, NY/St. Catherine) added five kills and seven digs, but the Mount Saint Vincent Women's Volleyball team fell 3-0 to Hunter College, the first place team in the CUNY Conference on Thursday night during a match played at Mount Saint Vincent. With the loss, the Dolphins fall to 9-7 for the 2006 season. Hunter swept the match 30-16, 30-23, and 30-20 to improve to 15-5.

Besides Balch and Dedvukaj's strong play, senior Roxanne Predergast (Center Moriches, NY/Westhampton Beach HS) had a solid night as well, registering a team-high 11 digs during a fantastic defensive effort.

Mount Saint Vincent will now hit the road for six straight matches, beginning with a trip to Baruch College on Saturday at 4:30 p.m.
