second goal of 2006, and sophomore William
Raftery (Bronx, NY/Salesian) made seven saves on
11 shots during the second half, but the Mount Saint
Vincent Men's Soccer team lost its fourth straight
Skyline Conference game, 8-1 to St. Joseph's during a
game played at St. Joseph's on Thursday. With the loss,
Mount Saint Vincent is now 3-7-1 overall and 0-4 in Skyline
play.
The game was all St. Joseph's (8-7, 3-2 Skyline Conference) from the start as the Golden Eagles scored four times during the first half of play and scored the game's first eight goals. Cooke scored on a breakaway with 45 seconds remaining in the game to get the Mount on the scoreboard. Otherwise, it was a tough day for Mount Saint Vincent as the Dolphins were outshot 34-12.
Mount Saint Vincent returns to action on Monday, Oct. 16 when they travel to meet defending Skyline Conference Champion, Stevens at 7:00 p.m.
