Gentsch, Moore lead Women's Soccer past Marymount, 9-0
Dolphins now 5-2 overall, 3-0 HVWAC; host Centenary on Wednesday
10/6/2006 - (Tarrytown, NY) - Freshman Kaitlin Moore (Levittown, NY/Island Trees HS) scored the first three goals of her collegiate career, and junior Katherine Gentsch (Staten Island, NY/Curtis HS) added a hat-trick of her own as the Mount Saint Vincent Women's Soccer team broke a two-game losing streak with a 9-0 win over Marymount College during a game played at Marymount on Friday. With the win, the Mount improves to 5-2 for the 2006 season and 3-0 in Hudson Valley Women's Athletic Conference (HVWAC) play. The Mount is currently tied with the College of Staten Island for first place in the HVWAC.

Moore and Gentsch were on fire as the Dolphins out-shot Marymount 41-7, and have now outscored HVWAC opponents 18-2 this season.

Also scoring for the Mount were sophomore Jessica McBain (Troy, NY/Troy HS), who found the back of the net twice, and fellow sophomore Tracy Frank (Port Jefferson Station, NY/Comsewogue HS) added a goal as well. Junior goalie Alexis Alessi (Oceanside, NY/Oceanside HS) made three saves for her fourth shutout of 2006.

Mount Saint Vincent returns to action on Wednesday, Oct. 11 when they host Centenary College in a huge Skyline Conference clash at 4:00 p.m.
