Construction Underway on Mastronardi Residence Hall
9/1/2006 - The College began construction of Mastronardi
Residence Hall in June 2006. The building will house
nearly 200 students in double occupancy rooms and provide
additional lounge, study and meeting spaces. The need
for the new residence hall is critical, as current
residence halls are filled to capacity and the
pr
oportion
of resident to commuter students increases every
year.
Scheduled to open in 2007, the building is named in honor of Valerie E. and Nicholas D. Mastronardi. The Mastronardis currently serve as co-chairs of the College’s Capital Campaign, Building Our Future. Valerie is an alumna of the College and currently serves on the Board of Trustees, and Nick is a former trustee of the College.

In announcing the naming of the new Residence Hall for
the Mastronardis in June 2005 Maureen A. Henegan,
Chair of the Board of Trustees, said, “Their
support, service and dedication, not only to the College
but also to so many
organizations in the Archdiocese of New
York, are impressive and uncommon. We at the
College of Mount Saint Vincent are deeply grateful to you
both, we’re proud of you, and we’re so
pleased to honor you both.”
