ECAC Update: Women’s Lacrosse seeds changed, Dolphins
to face Montclair State
Third seeded Dolphins gain first-ever ECAC post-season bid;
to play Elmira College on Saturday
5/10/2006 - (Riverdale, NY) – On Tuesday, May 9, a
seeding change by the ECAC for this weekend's
Women's Lacrosse Upstate Championships has affected
Mount Saint Vincent's participation. While the Dolphins
will still play this coming Saturday at 4:00 p.m., the
Mount has been dropped to the #4 seed and will now face
top-seeded Montclair State. The game will take place at the
Florham campus of Fairleigh Dickinson University. Mount
Saint Vincent faced Montclair State twice during the 2006
season, losing 17-3 to the Red Hawks on April 22, and 18-1
in the Skyline Conference Semifinals on April 26. The
winner of Saturday's game will face the winner of the
other semifinal game between #2 Elmira College and #3
Hartwick College on Sunday, May 14 at 4:00 p.m., also at
FDU-Florham.

Mount Saint Vincent, in only its second year of existence as a varsity program, is coming off an outstanding 9-8 regular season and first-ever trip to the Skyline Conference semifinals. The Dolphins had five All-Conference picks from the Skyline Conference, and ended the regular season with a 19-5 win over Cazenovia College this past Saturday.
