Men’s Tennis swept by USMMA-Kings Point, now 0-8
Sens-Castet hangs tough at third singles, Dolphins travel to Sarah Lawrence on Friday at 4:00 p.m.
4/19/2006 - (Kings Point, NY) – Sophomore Nicholas Sens-Castet (Brooklyn, NY/St. John’s Prep) played an outstanding match, and senior Chris MacDonald (Farmingdale, NY/Nassau CC) hung tough with one of the best singles players in the Skyline Conference, but the Mount Saint Vincent Men’s Tennis team dropped a 7-0 match to Conference power USMMA-Kings Point during a match played at Kings Point on Wednesday. With the loss, the Dolphins drop to 0-8 with four matches remaining.

MacDonald, who has been outstanding all season long at first singles, was swept 6-0, 6-0 during a match that was far closer than the score indicated as the senior pushed USMMA’s top singles player to the limit during every game. Sens-Castet was also excellent, dropping the first game 6-2 before being swept in the second game. The rest of the match was all Kings Point as the Mariners (9-3, 4-1 Skyline Conference) did not lose more than a single game the rest of the way.

Mount Saint Vincent returns to action on Friday, April 21 when they travel to Sarah Lawrence for a 4:00 p.m. match.
